Etsy-ness and albums ahoy!
I can happily report that Josh and I are finally moved in, and somewhat settled. It was a rough trip back from Hawaii. We flew Hawaii-Las Vegas-Phoenix-Denver-Kansas City, then to sleep for 4 hours, then drive non-stop 19 hours, 45 mins, with only 3, 15 minute breaks for gas and leg stretching. Terrible. Then the next day we got tattooed, un-loaded, and loaded the truck again, and drove another 8 hours, only to carry all our furniture, and belongings up 3 floors. But in the end, it's all worth it.
Hawaii was amazing, I am still in the process of editing photos, I have uploaded some to flickr, but between unpacking, and exploring, I didn't get very far.
Anyways, since I'm not working I've had some time to craft, I made a cute little mini from our Hawaii trip, here are a few sneaks, you can see the whole album here.

I also made a little Thank You card, I always struggle when it comes to cards, I can never get them right for some reason, I'm kinda happy with this one though.

I also made some more nintendo ds covers, I made one like my old ones, and some newer zip up covers with pockets on the inside, instead of the back. The new ones are also padded. They're all up for sale in my Etsy.

We're still hanging pictures, and decorating, we have one room to paint also, I'll have to update with some pictures once we are settled.
I hope you all are having a great week!

Congress street
After looking at apartment after apartment we finally found, and got approved for the one we loved the most. So amazing.
It's on the 3rd floor, on Congress street, close to downtown Portland Maine. The house was built in the early 1800's, we have the most amazing view of the bay, a nice deck, unbelievable skylights and the apartment has tons of character.
Right down the street is this super cute coffee shop, North Star Music Cafe, this awesome yarn shop, knit wit, this amazing little fabric store, Z Fabrics, and some really cute shops that sell tons of handmade goods, like Eli Phant,So perfect! Needless to say, I'm excited!

Now I just need a job and I'm set. Haha. Wish me luck <3

a new start
I left Kansas City Wednesday afternoon, spent a day in Philly, where I got my ribs tattooed for 5 hours by Pat Haney, amazing. Friday Josh and I drove to Wildwood to see Caru, and where we stayed and worked at the tattoo shop all weekend. 3 days of work, Hawaii trip for 2 paid for. Sweet.
Wildwood blows though, the people,..and yeah, the people. I'm all wildwooded out. Seriously. We were suppose to stay til Tuesday morning, but couldn't stand it anymore, so we said goodbye to Caru and hit the road. 7 hours later, portland, Maine.
It's seriously so beautiful here, the smell, fresh air, the ocean. Wow. We're staying with Joshs friends, Beth and Randy while we look for apartments/houses til Thursday. They're amazing. Such great people, I'm smiling non stop.

I've only been here for a few hours, but so far it looks pretty great. I can't wait to see more of what Maine has to offer <3
We leave for Philly on Thursday, then 2 weeks in Hawaii. Life is better than ever before.

We share the love for anything nautical, and are going sailing for 3 days while we're in Hawaii. Hello adventures!
Insipred by the fabric, and day dreaming about whats to come, I made this little cute embroidered piece :)

Thinking and planning, and thinking about this trip oh so much lately has made me super inspired. I think I have a new obsession. Whales and sailboats. I can't get enough!
I spent hours browsing Etsy yesterday for cuteness, and I just wanted to share some of the goodies I came acroos.
Enjoy <3

whale tshirt

lil' whale key hook

Leviathan Strikes - Signed Print

Whale Tree Card

Wally Whale necklace

Whale and Boat
I'm pretty sure if I see a whale when I'm in Hawaii, my face might explode from happiness.

big Etsy update!
Wow, it must be at least a million and one years since I updated, well both the blog and the Etsy shop!
My mom came to visit for the very first time, and stayed for a whole 16 days. It was a never ending craft party, it was so refreshing to spend some quality time with my mom, and also have a break from work.
So with that said, I have a big Etsy Shop update, 11pm CST tonight. Lots of pretty summer aprons, pot holders, pillows, gocco print, and even some baby items. Cute!

Lots more in the shop so make sure you stop by <3
It was so great having my mom here, I love having people from back home visit, it's like I get to relive my first time in the states all over again. She was so stoked to go to Joanns, which we spent 4 hours at the first time I took here there, yes we had to go back. Also she found it very amusing how many TV commercials are all about food, food and more food. Also how huge portions here are. HAHA. Oh yes. Everything is bigger in the US.
Other than crafting in KC, and chilling in the park, we took a trip to NYC, I always forget how crazy the city is, and everytime I go, as much as I love it. I am grateful to not call it home. I think I am good for another 3 years or so.

We stayed at Paramount hotel, which is right in times square, nuts, but oh so fun! Probably the best looking hotel I ever stayed at, talk about amazing. I wish i would have gotten a picture of the lobby, wow.
We stopped by shoe store after shoe store, which I think is mandatory if you are in NYC, H&M, which I <3, B&J Fabrics, wow..I am speechless. Oh fabric heaven. Imagine every single fabric you could ever dream of, yes, they have it. And Tinsel Trading, possibly one of the cutest stores I've ever been to. Wow. What a great selection of anything cute!

If you wanna see more pictures from her stay, check out my flickr.
I finally started, and finished a quilt I bought fabric for in 2008. So happy with the end result! I will definitely be making more of these!

It was really sad to say goodbye to my mom, especially not knowing when I'll see her, or the rest of my family and friends back in Norway again.
Theres been some big changes in my life lately, some great ones, and I am happier than ever. Last month i reconnected with the most amazing boy ever. Josh and I met 5 years ago, and well, long story short we had a thing going but it never developed into anything serious due to us living in different cities and so on. We lost touch for awhile, and when decided to drop him an email in early may, we immediatly hit it off again. He's the boy of my dreams, and I am so happy we are finally giving this a real shot. So here he is, Josh. The best boy ever.

So yeah, big changes are happening, and even bigger ones to come. I'll share the happy news later <3
Hope you are all staying cool in heat, and having a great week!
PS! tomorrow I am halfway to 50. yikes!
